Thousands of Ukrainian children are displaced with nowhere to live, no food and medical, fathers are missing, winter is approaching and they need our help.
Please join us in making a difference and help these children this Christmas.
The Over 55 Cycling Club Perth WA, in collaboration with West Cycle, invites every Cycling Club in WA to participate in a cycling fundraising event to help the children of Ukraine. This fund raising event starts on the 29th November, and finishes on the 13th December 2023.
The target is to raise $20,0000
There are several ways cyclists can participate in this fund raising event:
- personal (ie make an individual donation)
- part of a group (eg Cycling Club) making a collective donation.
- Some may choose to set a distance goal over a two week timeframe, with supporting donations from family and friends, based on the total distance travelled.
Whichever works for you is acceptable.
WestCycle WA will also provide some administrative and promotional help for this fund raiser. In particular, WestCycle will contact each cycling club in WA, and encourage them to participate.
Participating Clubs (including the Over 55 Cycling Club) are encouraged to provide information including the total number of kilometres their participating riders covered over the two weeks of the event and the total $ the club managed to raise to help Ukraine. Then we will be able to identify which club has Bragging Rights!

The specific charity that will receive these donations is Ukranian Patriot.
Donations made in this fund raising initiative will be banked at the GoFundMe account. Donations are passed on to Ukraine Patriot throughout the fund raising campaign.
